The Corvettes assembled here represent some of the more very special and legitimate Corvettes that have ever been collected by anyone and cars that had production limited to single, double, and triple digit numbers. The Rarest of the Rare! These Corvettes have been loved and were purchased not so much for profit but due to the passion and knowledge that it takes to discern what differentiates true collector cars from the average run of the mill.

The following Corvettes offered here are an opportunity for the astute and intellectual Corvette collector and offer value and hope for long term status for the new owner who wishes to have a positive relationship with their car or collection; an opportunity to buy rare cars today that may not ever present themselves to the market again, at least not in the short term or at today's prices.

This War Chest.. is the personal reserve Corvette collection held by Terry and Fred Michaelis. This collection reflects 37 years of Corvette insight and opinion with only a select few considered for inclusion here. 1014P..1962/1999 CRC Conversion C5 Convertible, LS7-505 hp, automatic, build number P-4, 26,418 actual miles. Roman Red paint with a custom Red on Black two-tone interior and Black soft top. The 1962 CRC conversion is a custom one-off build completed by Classic Reflections Coachworks with the help of Boeing to produce precise molding to create a breathable, durable, and high strength product. Meticulously applied to a 1999 Corvette C5 convertible with all modern options remaining intact and functional. Every exterior panel on this original C5 Corvette was replaced with a computer engineered proprietary carbon fiber panel and retrofitting them on this modern day Corvette chassis to produce the look of a classic Corvette that could be driven and enjoyed with modern safety and performance of today's Corvettes. Each CRC retro-Corvette took over 900 hours to complete. The conversion was designed to use factory stock parts (hinges, wiring, interior appointments). The bumpers and most of the chrome trim was manufactured specifically for CRCoachworks, or by CRC, with some of them being chromed carbon fiber. Panels and trim were custom fit and the car was painted the color selected by the customer leaving intact the transmission, interior, instrumentation, convertible top, and factory modern safety air bags and crash protection. Personalized 18 front/19 rear 1962 style aluminum wheels. Most all 1999 factory comfort and convenience options. Documented with the window sticker, owners manual leather pouch, show board, and featured in the November 2006 Corvette Enthusiast magazine. Formerly owned by Trim Parts who manufactured parts for the CRC conversions. Innovative and nostalgic, this custom conversion is really worthy of attention! Looks, runs, and drives excellent. 1014J..1963 Corvette Z06 Fuelie Split Window Tanker Coupe, VIN 6844. Specially GM assigned to legendary Corvette racing team owner Mickey Thompson who already received 4 of the first 15 Z06's produced. This car being Mickey's fifth became his personal driver and promotional car used to promote Mickey Thompson Rader/Radir MT wheels and other racing products. The special performance option, RPO-Z06, was purpose built for factory backed SCCA Racing and a true weapons grade road warrior, built and raced to defend the honor of the Corvette brand. Battleground ready and Chevrolet's own "Delta Force"!! Mickey's close friendship with Bunky Knudsen may explain how one privateer could receive 5 of the first 20 assigned Z06's when many other race teams and Chevrolet dealers received NONE! Researched, confirmed, and documented by Corvette expert David Burroughs 24-page "Prove It" report. Extremely rare, this is one of 63 N03 Big Tank Coupes with the RPO-Z06 racing option, which also included the L84 360 horsepower engine, courtesy of the sophisticated Rochester mechanical fuel injection, 11.0:1 compression, low restriction exhaust and a hot solid lifter camshaft. All told, 2610 Corvettes were equipped with the RPO L84 fuelie engine in 1963 and only 199 equipped with the RPO-Z06 special performance equipment package and only 63 with the RPO N03 36-gallon long range fuel tank. Ermine White paint with Black interior. Restored in show condition. These type restorations cost between $100,000.00 to $150,000.00. Options include: 360 hp fuel injected 327 with T-10 4-speed transmission and 4:11 posi traction rear end and of course Z06 heavy duty brakes, suspension, dual circuit power brake (Z06 only) master cylinder, the super rare N03 36-gallon fuel tank, Mickey Thompson Rader/Radir lightweight alloy wheels mounted on 6.70x15" bias ply tires. Being purpose built and assigned to a California race team, you will not find a radio or heater. Awards and invitationals include the NCRS Special Interest Display awards in 2003, 1998, and 1997, Chevy Vette Fest Nationals Showcase certificate, Bloomington Gold Special Collection, National Corvette Museum 18-month exhibition, America's Dream Corvette 60th Anniversary display, Z06 Tanker Survey, and the Hot Rod Power Festival Award of Excellence. 1007F.. 1971 Corvette ZR2 T-Top, one of 12 ZR2's ever built, LS6, 454-425 hp high performance V8 with solid lifters, M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission, F41 special heavy duty suspension, 4.11 posi-traction, J56 power dual pin disc brakes. Brandshatch Green paint with Dark Green vinyl interior. Recipient of Bloomington Gold certification. Invited for special exhibit at The Gilmore Car Museum aka "North America's Largest Auto Museum" in Hickory Corners, Michigan, entitled: Greatest Generations - Corvette - Evolution of America's Sports Car which opens April 1st and runs through Mid-March 2022. Also invited to the Bloomington Gold 2021 Gold Collection for display in their Tribute to the LS6. Delivered to Canada with the GM of Canada documents and NCRS/GM Shipping Data Report validating the rarity and uniqueness of this vehicle. Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov factory-built extra-high-performance specials, which includes the original 1963 Z06, the 1969 ZL1 aluminum block L88, the 1970-72 ZR1 Special purpose LT1, and the 12 ZR2 special purpose Corvettes. Rarer than even the vaunted L88, the ZR2 was a one-year only production package of only 12 units. At the heart of the ZR2 concept was the outstanding LS6 engine whose understated factory rating of 425 hp, the result of a heavy duty 4-bolt bottom end, forged crank, rods and pistons. The aluminum head LS6 was joined on the ZR2 roster by transistorized ignition, a high-capacity aluminum radiator, a Muncie M22 rock crusher close ratio 4-speed, heavy-duty power brakes, and special springs, shock absorbers, radio delete, 4.11 posi rear end, and heavy duty front and rear sway bars. It is equipped today as it was when delivered to Golden Mile Chev Olds, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They sold it to the original owner Barry Needler as documented by the original warranty book, and GM of Canada build sheet. This ZR2 was the recipient of a work of art body-off nut and bolt restoration by one of the most respected restoration shops in the collector car hobby, Kevin Mackay's Corvette Repair of Valley Stream, NY, who displayed this car at the NCRS National Convention and Carlisle's Chip's Choice "Best of the Big Blocks" as the famous sideways Corvette. The restoration is said to have cost the owner over $300,000.00. This is the last known ZR2 car ever built by Chevrolet. It is rare and it is desirable. email: terry@proteamcorvette.com

CC:1 $110,000.00
