The RPO-687 is super rare as only 223 were produced which includes heavy duty shocks, finned brake drums, metallic brakes, air scoops, deflectors, vented backing plates, cooling fans, large diameter sway bars, quick steering adaptor and the rear end stamp indicates with heavy duty brakes and suspension. Optioned with T-10 transmission, 4.11 posi with heavy duty brakes and suspension, special heavy duty brakes, heavy duty suspension, Wonderbar radio, fuel injection, off road exhaust, sunvisors, windshield washers, courtesy light, heater, 5-1/2" wide wheels, dog dish hubcaps and 6.70x15" blackwall tires. Most all factory correct type components including the spare, jack, jack tools, trunk mat, trunk liner, taillight cones, rebound straps, shocks, seat belts, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, generator, distributor, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, window glass, valve covers, F.I. unit, F.I. fuel filter, starter, gas cap, expansion tank, radiator, guide Y-50 mirror, warranty book, owners manual, sales brochure, and T-3 headlights. Documented with the NCRS Confirmation of Awards, NCRS certificates, most NCRS judging sheets, owners manual packet and 3-ring binder. From the past owner of 11 years with copy of title. FUN FACTS (RPO-684 and RPO-687 production versus total production): 1957 RPO-684 = 51 produced of 6,339 total production, 1958 RPO-684 = 144 produced of 9,168 total production, 1959 RPO-684 = 142 produced of 9,670 total production, 1960 RPO-687 = 119 produced of 10,261 total production, 1961 RPO-687 = 233 produced of 10,939 total production, 1962 RPO-687 = 246 produced of 14,531 total production. This illustrates that the RPO-684/RPO-687 option was only produced on approximately 1-1/2% of the total production of the 60,908 Corvettes produced from 1957 to 1962. Rare? Yes, rare indeed!!! Looks, runs and drives excellent. CC:1 $199,000.00 Email: terry@proteamcorvette.com
