1053Q..1957 Corvette Convertible, two tops, 283-283 hp, fuel injected, 4 speed, numbers matching California car, VIN 5789. Onyx Black paint with Inca Silver coves, Venetian Red interior and White soft top. Older body-off restoration of a very nice and very rare 283 hp California car that we bought in 1997 and resold and recently repurchased from our customer and owner of 25 years who seldom drove this car. Two months of re-commissioning including rebuilding the F.I. unit, new gas tank, new gas lines, fuel pump, tune-up brakes, battery, tires at a cost of almost $20,000.00. Optioned with auxiliary hardtop, T-10 transmission, 3.55 rear, Wonderbar radio, #4800 fuel injection, aluminized off road exhaust, heater, hubcaps, and 6.70x15" wide white tires. Also has a custom fit car cover. Most all factory correct type components including trunk mat, trunk liner, shifter, shielding, air cleaner, generator, spark plug shields, hoses, hose clamps, hood alignment blocks, hood pop-ups, F.I. unit, F.I. fuel filter, radiator, gas cap, guide Y-50 mirror, owners manual, sales brochure, and T-3 headlights. Also has the one-year only 1957 283 hp OEM tubular throttle linkage rod and plate with OEM manufacturer's stamp. Documented with a copy of the old title, photos of throttle linkage, owner history back to 1997 and a 3-ring binder. Purchased by ProTeam in 1997 from the California Guardian collection and Joe Marquez and recently from the past caretaker of 25 years. Looks, runs, and drives very nice. CC:2 SOLD
