1953 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster Gas Powered Child's Car. Originally built in Germany, drawing inspiration from the stunning 300SL Roadster, this child's car along with nine others were originally purchased by Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey. This diminutive cars weighed 650 lbs., they featured fiberglass bodies and were powered by a five horsepower, single-cylinder, two-stroke, air -cooled engine. At Palisades these car were a popular attraction as they provided youngsters with nothing short of sheer delight. Of the original 10 cars, this example finished in Blue with Red seat, is the only complete example known to survive.
